About me

Edoardo Zotti (*1995) studied saxophone at the State Conservatory of Music “J. Tomadini” in Udine under the direction of Prof. Fabrizio Paoletti. He graduated with top marks and honors at the age of 19.

He continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich in the class of Prof. Koryun Asatryan, where he obtained his “Master of Music” in saxophone.

Edoardo took part in master classes with internationally renowned saxophonists such as Alfonso Padilla, Kenneth Tse, Dejan Presicek, Matjaz Drevensek, Jean-Yves Fourmeau, Christian Wirth, Arno Bornkamp, Daniel Gauthier, Claude Delangle and Jean-Marie Londeix.

In the field of chamber music, he has had the opportunity to train as a member of the ECMA (European Chambers Music Academy) at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester and at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Italy with: Jeremy Young, Johannes Meissl, Hatto Bayerle, Petr Prause, Miguel da Silva, Rob Buckland, Antonello Farulli, Minna Pensola, Andrea Nannoni, Christophe Giovaninetti, Hyung-ki Joo, David Dolan and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich with Dirk Mommertz and Friedemann Berger.

He has taken part in numerous international competitions and won various prizes, including: 1st prize at the “International Music Competition for Young Musicians in Povoletto”, Italy; 1st prize at the “XI. National Competition City of Riccione”, Italy; 1st Prize at the Music Competition for Young Musicians ‘City of Palmanova’, Italy; 2nd Prize at the European Chamber Music Competition in Moncalieri, Italy; 1st Prize at the Svirel Competition 2016, Slovenia and was a finalist at the Chamber Music Competition ‘Marco Fiorindo’ in Nichelino, at the ‘Cremonesi Prize’ in Milan and at the ‘Abbado Prize’, Italy.

His concert activities as a soloist and in various chamber music ensembles have taken him to international stages: France, USA, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Morocco, China, England, Holland, Belgium, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Ecuador, Poland, Algeria and Pakistan.

From 2017 to 2023, he was a member of the Arcis Saxophone Quartet, an ensemble with which he performed as a soloist in the Berlin Philharmonie with the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester (DSO), in the Auditorium am Wolkenturm in Grafenegg with the Tonkünstler-Orchester Wien, in the Theater Croisette in Cannes with the Orchestre national de Cannes and in the Philharmonie am Gasteig and the Isarphilharmonie München.

He has worked with various orchestras including the Udine Symphony Orchestra, the “Orchestra Filarmonici Friulani” and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Orchestra in Italy and with the Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt and the Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha-Eisenach in Germany.

Edoardo has participated in productions for German broadcasters such as NDR, BR, rbbKultur and ZDF and has worked internationally with Rai Torino and Radio della Svizzera Italiana (RSI).

 

He has taught at the “Conservatorio Nacional de Musica” in Quito, Ecuador; the “Lincoln Memorial University” in Harrogate, Tennessee (USA); the “F. Villafranca” Conservatory in Vibo Valentia, the “L. Boccherini” Conservatory in Lucca and the “J. Tomadini” Conservatory in Udine, Italy.
